Sigma Theta Tau International/National League for Nursing Grant (NLN) - Purpose - To support research that advances the science of nursing education and learning through the use of technology in dissemination of knowledge. Research funding
Doctoral 2008 Nursing Research Studentship -NEW for 2008 is a joint Doctoral/Post-doctoral Nursing research award in partnership with the MS SOCIETY.The award is open to members of the nursing and midwifery professions, working in the UK, who hold active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Nursing Times Awards 2008 -“Nurses throughout the UK do a brilliant job treating, caring for and comforting patients and clients every day. They also continually develop clinical practice and introduce innovative measures to improve the delivery of healthcare. Yet much of this hard work and innovation goes unnoticed and unrecognised. That’s why we hold the Nursing Times Awards - to recognise and reward the tremendous achievements of nurses in all areas of healthcare.”
Karolinska Medical Management Centre/EHMA Research Award. This award is presented for the best publication associated with a doctoral thesis related to health management. The award is worth 1,000 euros. Deadline for the receipt of application: 31 January annually
Atie Immink New Investigator Award - The ESC Council on Cardiovascular Nursing and Allied Professions (CCNAP) is committed to professional growth of new investigators in cardiovascular nursing. The number of PhD prepared cardiovascular nurses is growing in Europe, and the New Investigator Award will aim to recognise the outstanding contribution of these investigators in understanding, preventing and treating cardiovascular diseases. This is the first award to be established in cardiovascular nursing at a European level. The award is named after one of the founders, and first chair of the Working Group on Cardiovascular Nursing, Atie Immink.
Eligibility criteria - To be eligible for the award candidates must: be doctorally-prepared registered nurses (RN with a PhD) and be within 5 years after completion of their PhD and have their abstract accepted for presentation at the 2008 ESC Congress.
